Update of the Guidelines
The Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control
of Infection in Healthcare are produced by the National Health and Medical
Research Council (NHMRC), in collaboration with the Australian Commission on
Safety and Quality in Healthcare.
The draft Guidelines have been updated to reflect the latest
national and international evidence on infection prevention and control. This
update has been led by the Infection Control Guidelines Advisory Committee,
whose membership details can be found in Appendix 3 of the draft Guidelines.
The evidence reviews commissioned by NHMRC for the update are publicly
available for background
information. These reports are not subject to consultation.
A summary of the process and overarching changes is provided
on the consultation
Accessing the Guidelines
